Cog light on please help

When I start car there is an s where it should be a p then it goes away an it blank no p r n but d and the rest show. Then the cog comes on please somebody help

Hello and welcome to the forum! It may be a gearbox issue or a faulty throttle sensor. I would suggest getting the codes read - this should give you a good idea of what the issue is and where it's coming from.
