Help please

I got this code P0705 it says indicates a fault in the transmission range sensor electrical circuit (PRNDL INPUT) for a predetermined period of time. Please what can I do

Hello - below is some useful info that I found in regards to the E46 platform and the P0705 code:

It's an easy part replacement: 3C Gearbox switch (P0705), part# 24-10-7-507-818.

It's #9 (position switch) in this diagram from RealOEM: A5S325Z HOUSING WITH MOUNTING PARTS.

It's suggested to replace it right away - if ignored it for several days, you may not be able to start the car - if your scan tool can reset codes, you can DIY it.
