2004 325i E46 M54 Intake Manifold
Hello There,
I'm having a problem removing the intake manifold. I have everything off and clear but the manifold still seems attached. It moves a little from right to left but will not clear the studs. Is there some other attachment point I'm missing. Bentley mentioned a lower intake manifold support bolt, but I could not find it. (I was under there for a half hour) Additionally, I can not remove the Y-Duct since the assembler positioned the screw for the clamp out of reach. Any suggestions? Dbear812 |

Solution Found
There is a 16mm nut buried behind the throttle assembly. Once I had all of that moved out of the way, with a 16" extension and a swivel, I was able to remove the nut and lift out the manifold.
Bentley service manual will have you looking for this from the underside of the car. Not possible, not even close. Good Luck |
