Coolant expansion tank blew

The coolant expansion tank blew on my ’99 323i. It looks to be a separate piece from the radiator and can be replaced independently. Who has been here before? Suggestions?

Also what is the replacement interval for the belts, while I am there?

Thanks

Pretty easy fix. I would replace your belts at 60K miles. If you have the original water pump and thermostat you should replace them at the same time.

If it is like the e36, you just need to lift the radiator a few inches to replace the tank.

I would plan on running the water pump and thermostat ~120k miles before replacing as routine maintenance. I recently had a water pump start to leak a bit at 130k miles so I replaced it and the thermostat.
