e90 330i missfire P0306
Having trouble trying to figure out the problem. I already changed: vanos, spark plugs, coil packs, ccv valve and hoses, injector for cylinder 6 and still have a miss fire. Also the car has a knocking noise sounds like a lifter it all started all at once. Anyone have an idea what to look for next?????

I assume you pulled the codes from it?
Do a compression and leakdown test. That solved my misfire - well it told me that I have a bad head gasket and now I know what to fix. I also swapped the coils/plugs/injectors (from cylinder to cylinder) and that didn't solve the problem. Start with the basics and go from there. |

Sorry - and I'm glad at the same time.
I've already begun tearing my s50 apart to replace the head gasket. I think it's in 150 pieces right now with 300 more to go. |

I'm going to do a leak down test today hopefully it's the head gasket as well. It does give me at times p0306 p0305 p0304 codes I clear the codes and it pops p0306 major of the time. But I know in fact that cylinder 6 has no compression. So I'm hoping it's the head gasket that's going bad on bank 2 which is cylinders 4-6.
