2007 525i rear brake issue
The other day when backing out of my driveway I noticed my brakes barely worked (kept rolling even though pushing on pedal. Might as well have been using the Flintsones method!) They had worked fine through the previous night. No leaks, fluid level good and flushed just a few months prior. First pedal press brakes grab, then pedals drops a bit and feels hard and almost zero brakes! Had to use e brake to stop car. Suspected master cylinder but re-bled brakes just to be sure. No change so replaced master cylinder, rebled system using vacuum bleeder, everything exactly the same. If I spin the wheels the front brakes grab but ZERO grab with rear brakes. In drive at idle wheel will not stop with pedal. Btw..car on jack stands. Also bench bled the master cylinder before install.. Anyone have an idea what's going on?

Hello and welcome to the forum! Have you checked the brake booster? Take a look at the link below for a DIY guide. Let us know if you have any other questions or if we can assist with any part needs in the future.

I understand how a failed booster would cause a hard pedal but how can it cause the pedal to sink and have little or no brake effect?
