e28 airbag question

I have an '88 528e - how can I tell if it has an airbag?

The wheel looks very small to be able to house an airbag. It doesn't say SRS or anything on it.

I don't see any fuses or anything pertaining to it - and I don't have an owners manual.

Is there an easy way to tell?

Have you ever seen an airbag on a car? If so than use that as reference the airbag module is rather large and not be confussed with any thing else... in aother words look for the big sqaure thingy in the middle.

Well, my point was I wanted to make sure it didn't have one before I remove the wheel and put on a Momo or Sparco wheel.

Thanks for the advice. Have I ever seen an airbag? Hmm.... don't know quite how to take that. Guess I asked for it.

The E28 did not come with an airbag (definately not in the US, not sure about the rest of the world).

The late 80's and early 90's BMWs that came with airbags are very obvious. Big, black wheels with a huge center. I think they even say SRS on them.
