'90 525 Electrical Mystery ...advice needed
Sometimes when trying to operate power windows or sunroof while car is running, I get a mysterious 'blackout' of the interior accessories,radio,onboard computer. I might add that the windows wont go up or down and the sunroof
wont open. The fuses are not blown, car runs okay. If I turn car off and on again the problem sometimes goes away. Sometimes on long trips the problem corrects itself. Any thoughts folks? Maybe a bad ground? relay? Pat Leber |

Bad relay
Turned out to be a bad relay. In and out, all appears fixed.

Herr, I have the same car, 90 525i, I have a very similair problem, I'm going to post. But what relay did you replace? Was in in the fuse box, or under the dash, and then which of those. Neither my doors loack/unlock, or windows work.
