A/C Problems. Fan Clutch and Expansion Valve
I decided to get my a/c charged, but they did a check and told me that I didn't need any freon. But, that I needed a new fan clutch, which they said was 468 dollars. and and expansion valve, which THEY said was 76 dollars.
They said that the fan clutch is spinning fast enough and pressure is building up, which makes sense. But, the price for the parts were a little suspicious. So, I told them that I was going to find the parts cheaper myself. I have found the fan clutch for 138 dollars and the expansion valve for 38 dollars. the wedsite I found the parts is: www.autopartson.com Do you think the shop is trying to cheat me? |
