5 series question
Alright, I apologize in advance for what I am about to do. I am about to ask a very general question and will probably use the wrong nomenclature as I do it. So please, bear with me.
I am a 911 guy but I'm looking for a second car to replace my current Civic I inherited from my wife. I am currently looking at used Audi A6s because I love our current A6 Avant. The 5 series has attracted my attention as well. Specifically, I like the looks of the older ones.
Here's my question. There is the current, just released 5 series, then there is the previous generation 5 series. I am interested in the generation before that. '90s maybe? Can anyone tell me what years that body style was produced? Any major issues that should cause me to skip that vehicle altogether? Would this make a decent year-round daily driver?
