CD changer help

Last night my battery was dead so i jumped my car off. Now my CD changer will not play. It says no magazine. I tried to eject the magazine but it will not come out. It makes a noise but will not eject. I saw a similar thread but no answers. Anyone know???
Thanks,
Brian

Our 99's occasionally does it too. Take a flashlight and look down the front edge of the magazine. If one of the trays is extended and won't retract it is jammed. MOST of the time all I have to do is give the magazine a sharp, hard rap with stiffened fingers straight down on the top of the MAGAZINE. The tray will then retract and the eject button will work. But VERY occasionally I've had to take the changer out and remove the covers to access the mechanism in order to free it up. NOT for the faint of heart! I'm an electronic tech so to me NBD. There is a DIY article in bmwtips.com that tells how to disassemble to clean the guts. It was a big help the first time. I bought a new magazine after taking it apart for the 3rd or 4th time. That helped a LOT!. Now does it maybe once every 2-3 months and so far haven't had to disassemble again. Knock on wood! It's a royal PITA! LOL!

Thanks! I tore it open last night and had to manually move the cd. It works good again now. Thanks!
