Hello, all.
I have an oppurtunity to get a supercharger kit for my BMW, but I am worried about the added stress on the car. Does anybody know what kind of effects the added torque and HP have on the transmission? I have a A5S 560z trannie, bone stock, with no problems. It is, however, about 125k old, as is the engine, neither of those parts has ever been replaced, removed, or otherwise worked on, aside from some minor enhancements to the engine. (chip, headers, air filter) I'd like the extra power, but I also don't want to take off only to see my trannie getting spit out of the back of the car. I just can't find the tolerances of the transmission anywhere, even in the Bently manual. Also, what kind of lifespan reduction would happen by adding the supercharger? Thanks for any info.
