picked up my first bimmer ! (535is)

Wasn't really actively looking, but stumbled across this Arizona car in a part of town that I never travel to and couldn't resist. (rustbelt cars never look this good)

Anyway...what a great car! The E28 535is has both good road-feel and a nice ride.....and decent power too.
Although i've learned that, while the "rustbelt" takes its toll on the metal portions of a car, that Arizona heat takes its toll on the plastic parts of a car!
The old plastic is very brittle and and things tend to "explode" when only slightly 'tweaked'. (plastic ties, door handles, radiator connection tubes, etc.)

Here's a pic.
