Reading Datastream
Is there a way to read the datastream on BMW OBD I without a BMW scan tool with the 20-pin adapter?
- I own a Peake Research R5/FCX-II(II), which allows me to pull codes. - I also own a Genisys, which allows me to communicate with OBD II, but not OBD I. - I spoke with representatives from Peake Research and OTC/Genisys, and they told me that they do not have products to meet my need. - I sent an e-mail note to the folks at Dinan, and they haven't replied yet. - I spoke with the shop foreman at a BMW dealership, and he told me that he uses the BMW scan tool with the 20-pin adapter, but the BMW scan tool was not available to the public. Any ideas? |
