Angry 92 525i Engine Hesitation

Hello All:

New to this board and hope I can get some help for our 92 525i.
The vehicle will start up just fine and run with no fluctuations observed on the tach. However, when pulling out of the drive and starting to accelerate, the engine hesitates and shudders a bit and then finally smooths out. Come to a stop sign/light...the engine idles rough...stays running...very little if any fluctuation on tach, just a rough idle. It is like one the plugs may be fouling or stray voltage somewhere between plug and coil, etc. At highway speeds very little hesistation, this just occurs when the engine is at a low idle speed. And even after a period of sustained operation (i.e. warmed up).

If anyone out there can offer some help it would be greatly appreciated.

Start by checking your temperature sensor on the thermostat housing, especially the throttle position sensor, idle control valve, could be the ECU-a broken solder joint.
Usually the problem goes away in these engines after a few days but can stall the engine if its too erratic.
You can test the various sensors with a voltmeter/OHMmeter/multimeter
