Driver's Seat Stuck in Recline Position

My son was driving our '95 525i and decided to recline the seat and look through the sunroof at the stars while hanging out with his buddies. The seat won't go back upright, sticking on the right side. If we try to move it up, the left side tries to go, but right sticks, causing the seat to twist. I lowered it all the way to recline position, hoping it would right itself when returning to upright, but it didn't work, and now starts catching on the right earlier, so it's almost fully reclined now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. In case it's not obvious, it's fully electric, not manual seat. Thanks,
