2002 525I Fuel level in tank ????
Have a car that is shutting off like out of fuel. Pulled the left sender out of the tank and its about half full. Pulled the right side and it is overflowing. Does anybody know if the fuel goes down evenly bettween the side? Gauge is showing about 3/4 of a tank.

check pumps and lines and filter and regulator and vaccume lines

I just had kinda the same problem, out of no were my mph in km stopped working odometer froze at the km it was, so i set the km timer, nothing was moving, and the needle under the rpm was out too. then my fuel level kept going nuts , up down to empty (light came on) Parked ate, now it fine,
any knowledge on what caused this....TIA |

i believe the VDO module is going out its located in the ecu compartment (the compatment on the passenger side of the car where the fuse box is on the driver side)
i had a similar problem which i fixed by smacking my dif with a hammer. never had a problem since |
