95 530i water in oil pan-no blown gasket or cracks

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can't figure out where the water is coming from!
Temp went 3/4 over but not all the way to hot yet oil blew out from something in the front all over the timing cover water pump and smog crap. The upper radiator hose had a tear in it, the were holes in the smog tubes.
Was leaking oil from oil pan previously, had added a qt. that morning. No oil on dip stick and water was very low. added water and it turned up in the oil pan.
Compression on all cylinders is very good and exactly the same. There is no oil on either head anywhere. Took off intake manifold and every intake port is clean as a whistle.
Are there water jackets in the front timing cover that could allow water in the oil??? I noticed there is a "Gasket for Water Flange on Back of Cylinder Head", listed in Pel parts catalogue, but 530i is not included on list. But is there such a flange on the 530i? Any clues, please? Meanwhile, It remains parked! Thanks!
