Timing Sensor help

Hi guys, im from the Porsche side and thought I would come get some info. I have a chance to buy a 92 525i that has a bad timing sensor. Question is... Are these hard to put in? I have never seen a BMW motor so not sure what im looking for. Any suggestions, tips would be grat.

I'm from both sides and have a '93 525i, it is the same platform. I have not had to replace the sensor but knowing and owning BMW's it should not be difficult...
Is it the Crank Position Sensor which is under the hood, center, front engine area, rear of crankshaft pulley, mounted in engine block?

I replaced a crank sensor on a 95 540i. One allen head screw and it slides out of the socket, unplugged connector, reversed procedure and in about 10 minutes I was done.
