Byron

Hello guys, I am new to this forum so please be patient. I have a 2003 530i with a seat recline problem. The seat reclined one day and then stayed reclined. When trying to get it to move the seat switch does work and activate the motor for one side of the seat only. In other words the inside side (side nearest the center console) moves fine, the other side does not move. This torques the seat. I did get the back to move once, but only down, and now it is stuck further reclined. I believe it is a motor mechanism for the one side. I am not very familiar with these seats. Any advice? Replace one motor (if there are multiple motors, I believe) Is there a temporary fix? Again note the seat switch is good. Thanks, Byron

Byron,
You need a seat rail assembly.
