Need ignition 12 volt under hood on 528I

I have a 2000 528I and I need 12 volt under the hood only when ignition is turned on.
Can anybody help me with my problem. I like to avoid going to the ignition switch and run an extra wire.

Have a look at your diagnostic data port (the techo words for the pacman under the bonnet. ) I think it's pin 14 (check with a meter) that is +12v. If the central pointer is at the bottom it should be the first hole clockwise from 12 o'clock on inner ring.

Good luck.
