Error Code 1266 on 95 e34 m50
 

I am getting a ODBI code of 1266- Vanos on my e34 m50. I have 187,000+ miles and it has failed California smog again.

I have also found several of the engine vent lines are bad as well as the cat maybe going, it is an aftermarket and has a large dent in it.

will repairing the vanos and lines work, to correct in power loss and smog? I posted the smog readings in a previous thread, under error code, same user name.
