Coolant Flush Materials?

Hi Guys

I am going to flush the cooling system on my 1997 528i.

Are there gaskets on both the radiator and engine block drain plugs? If so, can someone confirm the part numbers for these gaskets? I'm not going to be able to chase out and get parts in process and want to make sure I have everything I need.

Also, I understand the engine block drain plug is extremely difficult to access. Is there any alternative to avoid removing this (running a few cycles of distilled water through the system and then overcompensate with a richer coolant-to-water mix on the refill?

Thank you for the advice and help.

Jeff

If its like my 530, there is a copper washer on the engine drain plug (I change that, maybe 15mm) and a rubber o-ring on the radiator drain (which I do not change unless it looks bad). The engine block drain is on the right side and easy to do from below.
When you refill, dont forget to turn ignition and heater on so coolant fills the heater pipes. Then bleed it through the plug next to the radiator fill cap on right side.
