Giant problem!!

Hello all,
I have a giant problem. The door-grip of my right-back door of my BMW 528i sedan broke off. Bought an other grip and replaced it (with the help of my son). We both had the idea that it worked perfect when placed. Electric central lock, electric window and the inner grip all worked. We closed the door and somehow it would not open again!
Somehow we have made a mistake and have forgotten to connect or wrongly connected the grip with the lock. My problem is now, that I can't reach and open the inside panel!.
Has anyone any idea how to fix this without having to BREAK open the door!!
otherwise I will have to live with a 3-door BMW.
I hope, that I will be able through this "forum" to pick somebody's brain and solve this problem.
Thanking you all in advance and hope to hear from you all.
(and no yokes, please)
