E28 speedometer and OBC light out.
 

Hi there

I have an E28 (87, 528e)which the speedometer went completely out yesterday, after I tried to apply the cruise control on the freeway. now my speedometer and my fuel consumption gauge do not work. The backlight to the OBC unit is out as well. The OBC works though.
When it started to have real problems, the speedo, FCG and backlight would go out, then come back on all together moments later. But now, it has all gone out.

I checked fuses, but those are all good connection and intact. I also checked other items connected to the same fuse and those work.
I doubt it was the speed sensor, because the OBC backlight is affected by this. I assume it is more electrical, but not certain what.

I am at a loss of what to look at next.
