Hi,
I recently bought a Bimmer 528I. When I bought it the only info I got is it is a 1998 Model. I need to know the following: 1. Which exact model is the car (Eg. E39,etc..) 2. I would also like to get a car manual (book) for the car which is missing? 3. Is there anything important that I should keep in mind? PLz any advice is appreciated. Regards. |

Hi there. Welcome to the club!
The Bentley 5-series manuals are the best and least-expensive resources for your car. Off the top of my head, I think it covers the '99, but I can't really remember. Yes, if your car is a 1998, then it is an E39 model - nice car by the way... -Wayne

Wayne,
The Bentley Manual for the newer E39's is not out yet. We are all waiting with baited breath. They said it should be out before the end of the year. The owners manual doesn't cover much, just on what everything is. I guess BMW thought us who bought the car would get it serviced at a BMW shop. Yeah what about us who wish to work on our cars.... ![]()
