Tire recommendations for 2000 528i

Hi all--
I'm jumping over from the 911 board and need tire recommendations for my wife's 2000 528i. Its purely a highway cruiser - she's not into any sort of performance driving, etc. so something like Michelin Pilots are wasted.

I did a search and didn't come up with much.

I'm looking for a tire that is good in both dry and wet - don't need anything for the SNOW - the car never ventures up to THAT stuff.

Its got the original Michelin MXV Energy's (green) that came with the car - 58,000 miles and now needing to be replaced.

Anyone have experience with the Dunlop SP5000's? Reviews on TireRack were good.

Other suggestions?

thanks all.

I tried the Dunlop SP5000 on my 97 540i. They were a huge improvement in traction especially in the wet and snow vs. the OEM Dunlop SP2000E which the car came with. The tires were fairly quite also, but handling was a little bit less exciting on dry pavement. The big issue is how fast the tires wear. I had to replace the rear tires after only 15000 miles, rotation would have helped and I am a very aggressive driver. But for half price of that of Michelins and if your wife is just doing highway miles, it might be a good choice, but do not expect much more that 20-30,000 miles out of these tires.
