"brake linings"
Hey all,
I have a 90 525i which I just got the brakes replced. I got all new pads, new front rotors, and turned the rear rotors smooth. Also, all of my sensors are all new. However, I have been having troouble. About two weeks ago, O got this work down, and all seemed well. However, after a week or so, my car stated to pull, and then the break linings light even came on. So, with our local mechaninc, we looked, and found that the front right break was completelty worn to nothing!! We found that the control arm was bad, so we replaced it. However, the master cylinder no longer worked after this ordeal. It would not pump brake fluid. This replced, as well as the sensors. Just got the car back today, and the brakes seem pretty good. However, there is more problems, the brake sensors, which are on the right rear, and left front, are goofing off as well. My rear sensor is measure 12 volts, like it should. But, the front left is only meausureing 3 volts. Further, the brake lininings light is still on!!!!!! Even though everything in the brakes system is new. The only problem we can find is the sensor is not getting enough volts. But it is getting electricity. I guess there could be a tear, but there have been several funny proceedings with these breaks. The sensor was fine before the brake work was done, now it is bad. What suggestions does anyone have is all I can say for now. Maybe a sensor is bad, or......... Ban
