Shipping a car coast to coast...my story

WE GOT IT!!!!

After much nail biting and trying to wade my way through the WILD WILD WEST of auto transport, I decided to use Direct Express Auto Transport to shipa used BMW 550i that we bought on a whim while on Christmas vacation at my son's house outside San Francisco.

Direct Express was fantastic!

They picked the car up at my son's house in California with a small dual car trailer so my son didn't have to drive the car to a large lot where the big 8 car carrier could load. They took it to a staging area and load it on a big 8 car transport, January 20 (one day after I contracted with them) And the car showed up in NJ this afternoon, January 26...THAT'S FAST! 6 days from San Francisco area to New Jersey! Considering the weather he must have dealt with, it is miraculous!

I paid $199 on my credit card at time of contract and you must pay cash to the driver at delivery ($875) $1074 total

The car arrived extremely dirty, but in perfect condition.

So that's the story of buying a car while on vacation in San Francisco and getting it shipped to NJ....
