01 530 radiator ?

I`ordered new radiator, can some one , walk me thru replacing......easy way?
how hard is to remove upper hose? (I took clip out, but connector did not move )
do I have to remove cooling fan? (look like not )


P.S.my radiator #2 cracked by the hose neck! again!!

I dont know the easy way. Removing the fan will probably make things easier but removing the fan is a bit tricky.

If you dont do much of your own maintenance very often I would go ahead and replace the belts and hoses while you have it apart.

I am certain you can find a radiator replacement thread specific to your model on the web.

hoses on 2001 have spring lock connectors, not drive clamp. how much force need be applied to remove hose? is there any "O" ring inside?

This basically the same as your but not exactly. Yours is also basically the same as an E36.

Undo the clamp, slide t down the hose out of the way, then twist/pull the hose off.

upper and lower hose does not have clamps....only spring lock, and plastic connectors....
how I can remove them ?

If my definition of a spring lock is the same as yours, you wedge a flat head in it and twist. Then replace it with a worm drive clamp.

any way, my radiator arrived, time to check parts included in the kit.
maybe I can snap some pics later..

time to save many for next one....or down payment for new car??
