dual vanos help

i have a 99 528i with the dual vanos. head had to be redone from blowing head gasket.
have head back and in process of getting the engine in time. is it necessary to buy a cam holding tool at another 150.00. also i have been looking for picture on how to put the dual vanos gears back on. both the order they go on, the position of each piece, how to make sure the engine is in time. i have the engine locked with the special pin at TDC. if anyone out there can tell me where i can find this info i would love it.
