R5 service light reset tool
 
I have an R5 service light reset tool (for 20 pin socket) from Peake Research that I use for my '91 325I. Does anyone know if I can use this for my '00 540iA? Peake Research web site doesn't tell if its compatible but I was told over the phone as long as it fits the connector, it will work. It does fit the connector but I just want to make sure before I do it. There's only two green light left on my service indicator light and I will need to reset the it soon.

That is correct, as long as the connector fits, it should work.

Which tool do you have, just the rest tool or the diagnostic one that scans the codes.
