Opinions on best year 635CSI?

I have been a long time fan of the classic styling of the 635CSI and after the great set of articles in Roundel this month my blood has been set to boiling. Before I start my search for that perfect example I need to settle on some details.

What year is considered to be the most sound mechanically? If I were to buy a rust free Southwest example with mechanical problems; how available are the engine rebuild parts? Is that a good way to go or should I just go for a pristine low-mileage one? What are the typical problem areas on these cars that I should watch out for?
