Speedo SI board
Can anyone fix speedos? My 83 635 hasn't had a working one since I got it. Tried 3 clock pods, with 2 Different speedos, and 2 different SI boards. The batteries on the boards are good, but look like they have been replaced. Iv'e heard that if the board is powered down too long, it looses memory.
All the other gauges work ok. The speed sensor seems ok, Iv'e tested from the clock pod plug on ohms and turned the wheele with it on stands and it goes from 5 ohms to O/C. It's getting serious now. Got another letter from the gatso police today, exceeding a 30mph limit. Can't have been much over. cheers, Andy |

Not too many issue possible
Here is a diagram from a 1985 csi.
Two issues cover 70% of the problems, SI batteries and bad connection at the differential sensor connector. You can check to output of the sensor at the C2 connector pins 10 and 19. C2 is the white connector on the cluster. http://members.roadfly.com/kcroncarter/etm125.htm ![]() Later, |
