1992 735i Hazard lights

The hazard lights have a mind of there own. They will come on blinking for 3 to 8 minutes and go off. It doesn't matter if the car is running or not. The only way I have found to stop this problem is pulling the fuse which also kills the direction signals, not a good solution. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have a 91 735i and have found that the slightest pressure on the switch will activate the flashers. I suggest possibly taking the switch apart and cleaning it or replacing it

Hi,

I had a recent problem with this and found that I had water getting into the electrics above the glove box.

Being a British car, that means the left side of the car.

The water was getting in through a perished rubber bung which was situated under the bonnet/hood of the car near the fuse box.

Between the fuse box and the wind screen/shield there's a grill that the wipers pass though, under this grill is where the rubber bung was.

I used some water proof silicon stuff to seal it again.

Regards,

Adrian.
