New Obsession ('89 Carrera 3.2)
Please help with my obsessive Porsche infactuation.
I am an 8 series addict....have owned 2 *8 series, a '91 x 850 and a '94 840 (no nikasil issues herein Hong Kong) over the past 2 years. The recent 840 was acquired at a VERY reasonable price and has just 3k usd spent to bring it up to a level of excellence and had new suspension and underpinning among other things. However I have always yearned for a 1989 Carrera 3.2 and now I have found a very exceptional one. 36000kms concorse condition, immaculate...see below I can't have both her in HK due to parking costs 25 USD per day so what to do.?? It would be my first...Porsche ...boyhood dream.. Do I switch or not - has anyone done this with any regrets ?? Cheers sorry cant post scans for some reason

great cars, I have had my 85 3.2 since buying used in 89. still drive very frequently, and hope to never sell.
but now retired and doing a full tub up restoration on a 78 930. stripped to the tub, engine stripped to the case at this point. getting ready for the fun part of putting it back together after a full paint. thinking of selling the 928 and the motorcycle. interested in an 850. since you said you have owned a couple, would like your thought about acquiring an 850. one my biggest concerns is parts. if I find one I would have a BMW PPI. I am OK with doing a lot of maintenance, but not having to rebuild that V12
