Tranny Chip, Where does this go?
Does the tranny chip plug into the same type of area that the DME chip does? If not, where does it go?

I've never done that before, but the tranny computer is a separate little box. I'd imagine that the chip is contained in that box.
On the E28, the tranny control unit is under the dash by the steering column. About half the size of a Bosch ECU. |

Anyone installed one of these units in their car? The auto tranny in my 325 really slows it down compared to my manual 318...

Buy them, sell them

In our Euro-spec cars (and RHD) the tranny computer was usually located under the steering column, but you'd have to double check of course. Matt Holcomb fitted a Motronic & tranny chip to his old 535i and it made a world of difference.
Good luck, Wayne!
