I've got a problem. My 733i oil pressure light is on, I've checked the oil, and it's fine. Could there be a problem with the indicator light, maybe a bad relay or something? Is there any indication that there is a problem with the oil pressure, ex. any sounds or anything??
Also, is there a way to reset the service indicator lights without taking the car to a dealer? thanks. michael |

some basic Troubleshooting
The oil pressure sender is on the drivers side of the head, aft end.
Grounding the wire to the engine should turn light out. If that works then change sender and if that fails you have a real deal pressure loss. The pump and relieve valve are in the bottom pan. It can be done in the car, by raising engine with mounts disconnected. lower the pan and through the opening remove the pump. Than the pan will slide aft. Later, |
