swapping out differentials

folks I have an 89 325is and want to boost the performance a little. I have access to some 318I diffs from a junkyard. My question is:

Are all 318I diffs equipped with 4.10 gearing?
Are they a simple swap into a 325 is - matching the cv joints and other components
If the the 318 diff is not LSD - will the change be very noticeable

Thanks in advance.

This board is definately not has cool as the 911 one where I have been a member since 1999. No replies, no assistance, no conversation. Bottom line - I found a 4.10 LSD diff for my e30 325is out of a junk yard for $60 in Lauderdale (had to take it off myself) of a 89 325IX automatic ... probably the only other car with the LSD 4.10 other than the M3. Thanks alot for no help guys... check out how we treat each other on the 911 board...... and learn.
