Service lights incorrectly grounded

Hi,
I gave my bmw 528i 1985 to someone who claimed that they could remove the flashing service lights.
I got a call two hours later that the car wouldnt start,
It has ignition lights but wont crank.
I can hear a click under the car and at the fuse box.
After much questioning I waS INFORMED THAT THE INCORRECT NUMBERS// WERE GROUNDED??11
HE grounded 1 with 6 not 7.
I would be grateful if someone had the tech knowledge to sort this one out.
Any ideas how to put it right?
Thanks
