BMW 325TDS problems

Hi Guys, my son has a 1997 325TDS and the car seems to have a problem with the turbo.
The car will just not accelerate over 2000 revs as it should do. We have changed the filter and other stuff and same problem, some time the engine will splutter and go alright, I have noticed that the tick over sometimes is rough as if it is misfiring on one cylinder.

The turbo is OK and looks like its OK I think it a fuel/injector problem but no manual covers this model. I hope one of you guys can help.
Ta
Cliff

Sounds like your computer needs some programming, almost like the rev limiter is off. You'll have to get this checked at a shop, unless you have a standalone system and know the programming well. Also try reseting your ECU.
