HP2 Sport Toolkit

Hi All,

Quick, and possibly silly, question. What did you get as a toolkit with your bikes? I'm thinking that what the dealer provided me with can't possibly be right. Picked up the bike a week or so ago and just finding time to look at some of the extra bits I was handed.

Toolkit consists of:
- 17mm wrench
- torx key for the seat
- plastic wrench for the oil filler cap; and
- a ridiculous yellow screwdriver that looks better suited to adjusting a pair of glasses than serving any purpose on the bike. Seriously, this thing looks like my two year old daughter could snap it.

I could be wrong, but this looks to me like they lost the proper toolkit so quickly ran around the back shop grabbing whatever was laying around just to hand me something. I'm surprised there isn't an old toothbrush in here.

It would almost be funny if it weren't so tragic.

Thanks in advance,

Pete

That's not even close to what came with my '08 #39 bike.

Thanks!

Kind of what I figured - looks like I'll be making a trip back to the dealership. Oh well, supposed to snow here today anyway and there are worse ways to spend part of my day.

Cheers,

Pete

OK, think I already know the answer, but any chance that toolkit was an option? Dealer is telling me the toolkit doesn't come standard. Parts guys, however couldn't find a part number and after a call to BMW told me they can get me one for $211.

Sound as strange to anyone else as I think it does?

It was included in the sale in '08. The only option was the ABS. Call BMW, NA customer service. It also came with a DVD on maintenance and a fanny pack.
