My K1300S

This forum is a little outdated, calling the K1200S "BMW's Latest Superbike". They could name the K1300S instead, but that's not much better since the K1300S has been discontinued. Who knows if BMW will ever offer another "S" variant of the k-bike?

Anyway, here's mine. It's the "Grin Reaper"!

Glad to see there is some activity on here, as sparse as it is. I would like to at least ride a K12- or 1300S before I die if not own one for a while. 60% more horsepower than my R1100S and 100+ more lbs. would probably be a shock to the system but I'm game.

I've got both and I'll say that I like them about the same for their respective qualities.

I'm hoping to stumble on to a good, unmolested, K1200S one of these days. I hear they're a little more raw and unrefined than the K1300S. I'd like to see what that's all about.

If you do and want to unload your 1300S, PM me and maybe you'll catch me in an impulsive moment.
Maybe in the meantime BMW Motorrad will come up with a K1600S, that engine but not detuned for touring, and most of the superfluous weight left by the side of the road. Way out of my skill league but would still like to test ride such a beast for maybe a weekend.

Not my dream bike. I'd rather see a 1200 triple in an S package.
