First Tire Thread

Mine came with Metzler M-1s very grippy, but I'm not fond of the feel. I'm thinking about replacing them with BT014, or Pirelli Diablos. Anyone tried either on the Bike? I would be most interested in any differences in tire life.

You may shoot me for this but.... I've also thought about BT020 since most of my miles are commuting on the interstate. In the past they have been grippy enough for street riding and provided a few more miles per $$. So far I've got 2000 miles on the M1s and they are still looking good. I think I can get 4 to 5K out of them. I'll update everyone when I am done.

Any experiences would be appreciated.

Next I will open the first oil thread just to be consistant

The Pirellis are essentally the same tire as the Metzler. I'm not sure what you mean by "feel" but if it is related to the tires profile I wouldn't even consider the Pirelli if you don't like the Metzler, if it is compound then maybe.

I'm an "M" tire man, Metzler or Michelin.
