I have a 2008 mini cooper s that has an oil leak in the area of the crankshaft seal, but the back of the pulley is dry and the seal shows no signs of leaking. I resealed the pan earlier and replaced the crankshaft seal earlier, but still dripping oil. It looks like it is leaking up higher than the pan and dripping down. Any other ideas?

clean off all areas with oil completely. keep an eye on it for the next week to see if you can pin-point the source.
