Another aftermarket part discontinued

Called San Jose BMW after not being able to find the SJ Powerfilter on their website. The parts guy said it has been permanently discontinued. I almost bought one last month, but decided to wait until the bike rebuild was complete... guess I shouldn't have waited. Bummer.

Go onto the Boxertrix site and search Blue Peter filter you can make a very good substitute for peanuts.

Tried buying one several months ago but they wouldn't sell me one because of my Cali address (another reason to "love" California)... bummer

Now that it's discontinued has anyone asked if they'll open-source the blueprint for the housing? Aluminum is nice, but printed in ABS works.

I did not ask, but that is a great idea. Anyone have access to a 3D printer and have interest in taking on a project like this?

I have access to several different machines so if the CAD file for the housing shows up I'll try it. I don't have the time to re-invent a part from scratch, though.
