Please forgive a fallen 1100s man.,, but I’ve been in search of Laser cans (best sound)
with no avail! Then a Ducati 1098 went ripping down the road and my lightbulb blinked a time or two. Hmmmm,..duc cans on a bimmer? It could work.

Bimmer is the car, Beemer or Beamer is the bike.

Funny enough I looked at it with a Pani muffler and it's not a good fit. I actually bought one to play around with fitting it. It's too long to fit under the tranny, definitely too low if under the engine. The 1098 and 1198 mufflers are bigger yet. There's definitely not enough room under the stock R1100S seat (length is the main problem, then pipe routing). Ducati use much bigger pipes making it all the worse. If you shorten the mufflers, there's maybe a chance but it will be some work. Also consider your transition problem in pipe size. The ducs run bigger pipes all the way from the head back compared to the Beemers. Look at them side by side, they're bigger than the R1200 pipes. The 999s are closer in size but still bigger.

I've decided to do something closer to what Buell did and the RC-8, my plan is to use part of my Remus Sebring premuffler with a Dan Moto I have, some pipe couplings and a 180 bend but that's for another day, have a bike on the lift I still need to finish...
