Bitubo shocks anyone?
When I bought my '99 R1100S, the prior owner installed a set of Bitubo shocks.
Does anyone out there have these shocks, or know anything about them? |

Yep, I have the Bitubo's fitted to my 99 R1100 S. All I can say is that they make a dramatic difference over the standard shocks. I did however get a professional to set them up for me.

Finicky rebound adjustment and poor and expensive when available parts support (200 just for a pair of seal kits (no labor) which didn't even have all the necessary seals - and that after months of waiting. - Yikes - no thanks. There are much better options.

Hi Guys,
It's been a while since there was any comment on Bitubo shock absorbers. Has anyone got experience good or bad they can share? They look a good price for the features but I can't find much at all about them. I wonder are they the 'new boy on the block or there's a reason there's nothing to be found. Mark. |

I think Roger Albert's points should guide you a bit...

They still make Bitubos? A friend had an S with them.
Best bet IMO for any shock upgrade is to give Ted Porter (Beemershop) a call. He handles several brands and grades and will steer you in the right direction.
