Hejira,
If the PC made a difference on top of a chip, then it wasn't a chip mapped to that system. The injectors don't know whether their singal comes from a stock computer, a chipped one, or from a piggyback intercept. Duration is duration, however you get it. There is NO reason for a PCIII on top of an _optimized_ config-specific chip. roger |
one of the dynojet examples is of a 916 with a fim chip. what they don't say is that the fim chip is just a megazone - an adjustable version of the std chip with std maps, not the ultimap remapped one. i've seen some really bad advertising from them too, like using power/time for charts instead of power/rpm. they get graphs showing big differences that way.
having said that, a custom mapped pc seems to work well, altho the variation between bikes (ducatis and guzzis mainly) alluded to on the net has more to do with people not knowing how to do basic set up than anything else, in my experience. the dj maps appear to have a bad rep, which probably comes simply from bad test procedure. it's a good idea, but their execution is a bit off sometimes. brad |
Man, anyone got some fish to go with all these chips?
I'm lost. Anyone use the Techlusion? I understand it richens the fuel thus lowering MPG. Oh, whatever... |
