White faced instruments?

Saw a late model BCR (Red, white, blue) parked recently that had white instrument faces. Liked the look, but was that from the factory or an aftermarket add-on?

Modified, search around here there are posts from the past when it was popular to do. You could actually change the number range to reflect the real speed.

That would be nice as mine reads 4-5 mph high at road speeds. Anyone have experience with speedo correcting devices?

The '05 BCR was delivered stock with the white face gauges. There's two issues with the speedometers and coincidentally two different methods of measuring that speed. One system uses a Hall type sensor and the other a plain 'ole magnetic sensor and coincidentally again, a main reason why the speedo heads are not always interchangeable. Never seen any correction devices but a good DAC/ADC engineer could probably assemble a module to electronically correct the speed error.

I've got a SpeedoHealer on my ZX14, it was off by a little over 8% so I set one mode for correct speed & the 2nd mode at @ 50% that way it defeats the 186mph limit & allows me to go faster & just double the reading for a fair estimate of velocity. I'm not sure it's made for the bmw's though.

HI GUys,

Would a GPS/ Phone give you a more accurate read on speed? Or a GPS based speedo?

Thanks,,

Slick....

That's what I used to calibrate mine. Reading both at speed & then determining speedo error. I had it in a tank bag map cover so I could see it.

I believe some of the Rocksters also had white instrument faces and they use some R1100S parts like the instrument panel, forks, etc. Just an idea....

There is a do it yourself option but it takes a lot of time and patience.

Speedo reface

BMW Roundel K1200s

Apparently nobody has posted on the K12s page in a while, Iíll Iíll post on this side,..Iíve ridden a few K1200s bikes & they are a force to be reckoned with,...smooth, fast, comfy rocket! Iíve always been partial of the boxer motors, but one thing that grabbed my attention immediately in 1999 when the R1100s was introduced, is the ďunder seat AfterburnersĒ. However, a quick search on google & what do I see?
Iím sure itís a custom job, but it can be done well. Looks mighty nice

If you want to freshen up the gauge cluster, or make it look more modern a rockster gauge cluster will do the trick

I always loved the white faced gauges but didn’t think they would look good on my red bike. Decided to photoshop them in. I like it. Now I’m looking for white face gauges. Anyone want to trade or have a good link to buy them? Also want the red needles.
